i'm tempted.

switching to wordpress is always in my mind...
i don't know why and how wordpress makes my heart so itchy.
have been using blogger for a period of time.
the only thing i don't like about blogger is there is no reply function for comment.
other than that everything works quite ok to me.
haha... it seems so stupid to move my blog because of that...
but yeah... will definitely keep searching and comparing to see which one is easier for me...

P-plate

at lunch time, when i was waiting at the lights, there was a taxi turning left at the junction, and it crossed from the far left lane to the right. the funny thing was the P-plate driver behind the taxi kept shaking his head... like he has lots of driving experience...

just wondering, if someone has an open licence more than a year, and has only driven like less than 10 times (like me?!), when this person is on the road, how many drivers will shake their heads??

thinking maybe the L-plate drivers are also wondering, how can this person get his/her licence...

Bak Kut Teh

cooked this like long time ago...
and i finally post this out :D

as i am not a genius, you should know that i did not make this from scratch. lol

the bak kut teh spices was given by mei.
she said this is made in singapore, so the taste is the closest to the one they eat over there.

since i haven't tried that in singapore, i can't really tell if they taste the same. XD
however,  i can confirm one thing is it taste yummilicious. :)
the pork cooked perfectly with the meat in pink inside and it was so tender.
wahhh... so nice! ;)

hello autumn

can you believe it's march already!!!
1/4 of 2010... scary!

what have i done for the past months?
the answer is NOTHING!
wow!!! amazing! = _ =

chinese new year passed...
we are supposed to clean house before the new year came.
however, my room and kitchen are still in a mess.
so today, since i overslept for church (felt really bad... i should sleep early last nite...), and i really want to make my day more productive.
i decided to CLEAN the kitchen. :D

actually, i wanted to do it for long!!!
as it's too messy and i don't even know what's in the cupboard and pantry.
that's also one of the reasons why i don't want to cook lately.
when you see things go everywhere... you just don't want to cook... :(

so... today was a big day for me...
throwing away expired food, organising things into proper places, writing down what i have in the kitchen (so, i won't buy the same thing), cleaning the kitchenware....
and now, i just realised i have bought over 20 different kinds of herbs, spices and seasonings.
some of them i don't even open yet!!!!....

very typical me...
my stupid principle is "buy first and just in case i might need it"
i tell you, this is absolutely ridiculous and dangerous. (as you could have spent a fortune with things that you don't even need in your life time!)
and now you should know why my money spend so fast....
anyway, after today, i won't be my principle anymore, as i don't want to waste food and money!!! RAH!

okie dokie...
now the day starts getting shorter... which means winter is coming very soon.
please take care especially in the morning and at night. :)

Broccolini & Tomato Spaghetti

haven't been blogging for so long...
and i just discovered... i haven't been cooking a proper and decent meal for over three months.
that's really horrible...
i know...

this pasta was made last month actually.
easy to make. another lazy nite saver :D
hopefully, i will cook more...

no swearing campaign

Ash, SJ, Rima and I start the swearing-free campaign today.
Ash took this chance to fast swearing during the lent period.

yes... we do swear... sometimes... it just came out from our mouth... LOL

because of anger.
because of stupid people.
because of something that we have done.

anyway,  the penalty for swearing is 10 cents per swearing word.
all money will be donated to charity. :D
so... don't know should we swear or not to swear... XDDD

2nd month of 2010: go red!

january 2010 so far

How’s everyone so far?

Me, absolutely fantastic!
2010 is good to me so far.
Haha, it might be too early to say.
But I seriously got a feeling that this year will be a good year for me :D

so, what I have been doing since December last year?

well, I would say pretty busy :D
busy = not bored.

1. Christmas dinner and activities throughout the festival month
Christmas dinners and activities were almost on every weekend with different awesome people since December.
Last few days when I tried to uploaded photos on fb, I just discovered I accidentally deleted all the pictures that I took on our combined cells Christmas dinner on the 19th. T__T

2. the start and the end of the making macarons journey
since I promised to make some macarons for jade’s wedding, I have been practising ever since… :D
After 5th attempt, my macarons are now so M.A.C.A.R.O.N  ^ ^
Gone through many ups and downs. I have to thank two people here for the success of the macarons. One is james who gave me many tips and information about how to do this little thing. The other one is kofanna, who has supported me and kept me company when I spent almost two full days in the kitchen last week just before the wedding.
I guess it is the best thing that I did this year… (ya right, while it’s only like first month in 2010) XDDDDD

3. shopping with kofanna = spent a lot… and lots of fun!
Not like she inducing me to spend, it’s just happen I shopped with her and bought a lot… L
Her good sense of fashion makes me look more like a normal girl.
Haha… coz I am a very casual person. I hate doing make up and dress up, as I am too lazy to think the mix & match and too lazy to remove the make up. so if I don’t dress up, I don’t have to do this kind of unnecessary stuff… heh~
To conclude, I am super lazy and just CAN”T BE BOTHERED!!!! Heh~

4. An awesome wedding is a good start of the year.
So… from proposal to wedding, it was in six months time. I can’t believe jade and her wedding team can actually did such a wonderful job with this limited time!
Decorations and ideas are very creative. Something different = special and memorable :D which made the wedding unique and amazing.

5. new blog for our household :D
Haha… yes, we start a new blog. Who is the “we”?? Kofanna and I, plus our adorable natto!!! Hehe…
Well, the theme of the blog is “two and a half women”, as you can tell it’s taken the name from “two and a half men” XDDDD

Basically, this is blog is about our daily life with one another and the interesting thing that happened in our “family”.
We have this idea as we were bored and making fun of each other, when I was making the macarons in the kitchen…

Ya, I know we are very silly… heh~ but we are happy! Think that’s our way to enjoy life and the way to enjoy each other’s company :)
We don’t have to be serious every moment right?

this was one of the dishes on our christmas eve dinner.
since i had to work on that day, i did not have much time to cook a tradtional christmas dinner.
find this recipe, think it is pretty easy to make and can be a good starter too.

it turned out great, though i did not use the breadcrumbs.
however, it could look better and be more crispy if i did use the breadcrumbs... heh~
