Egg Tarts (NG!!)

tried it first time...
err... a big NG!! haha
actually, it tastes very good...
it just doesn't look very good...
(the one in the picture was the only good one.) hehe...

absolutely to be improved.
anyone has any idea to improve this,
please do let me know!!!

A big dinner for Shuki~

met shuki at sunnybank this afternoon.
we bought all the ingredients for tonite's dinner
then, we went to have lunch at somewhere close to home.

was a big lunch
we had a plate of 10 egg roll suishi + prawns and veggie tempura.
after that, we went next door to have a bowl of beef noodles~ yum

back home... too tired...
had a nap.
then started preparing the dinner at around 18.00

two and a half hours later...
we finally had our big dinner.

kofan did the steak really well! :)
at least, i think so.

i made the pumpkin soup
and the eggplant rolls.
hehe, sorry kofan, i know you don't like
both pumpkin and eggplant.

shuki's mixed everything in one bowl salad. haha~
i tell you. this is a very big bowl of salad.
incl. 4-5 tomato, 2 potato, 7-8 slices of ham, 1 can of corn, 4 eggs,
2-3 apples, 2-3 nashi, 1 can of pineapple.
so, you can imagine how BIG it was, right?
but i love it!
coz i am a salad lover.

doesn't look very professional...
the presentation was really bad.
anyway, it doesn't really bother us.
we did enjoy a very good dinner~ :)

a special ingredient~
i cut my last finger...
it's a bad one.
lucky, i have propolis at home.
it heals almost 90%
all good :)

two good colleagues left the company today...
what a loss!!!
today, everyone in the office just didn't have the mood to work.
walked here walked there.

takashi and the two little boys.

later, i had dinner with the inooka family at the korean restaurant.
was a good dinner as i could share the time with the boys.
justin and luke grown up so much~

after dinner, luke suddenly held the pole and started dancing.
takashi, melissa and i were like...
what?? pole dancing???
isn't he cute???
a not even 2 year old boy performed "pole dancing"
one word - COOOOL!!

was really a wonderful night!

Mango Ice Cream

haven't read my "dictionary" for ages,
(over thousand pages recipe book)
discovered this recipe few days ago.
though it's winter, still want to have something cold...

except the canned mango spoiled the whole thing,
everything goes very well. haha...
don't know it's a successful one or not??!

shouldn't choose this time to make mango ice cream...
not in season mah...
wrong move to trust the book...
haven't tried before,
thought if the book choose to use canned one, it should be fine...
should trust myself that only peach and pineapple can be canned...
definitely will try again in summer :)

Sunset @ Mt Tamborine

since auntie will leave next tuesday,
simon brought us to mt tamborine for afternoon tea.

45-60 minutes drive, we finally reached there.
we went to a coffee shop and enjoyed the rest of the afternoon.

seeing the sun ran behind the mountain was super cool.
but it's super cold too!!!! >w<

coz i have got a DRIVERS LICENCE!!!!!! :)
YAYYYYY!
no more worries on friday nite.
no more early wake up on saturday morning.
no more spending on driving lessons.

it's a good news, but i think this is not a good time to post it here.
might wait until the best time to come :)

the sad news is...

there is only one, but sad enuff to write off the happiness.

melissa is leaving our company soon... :(
i'm happy that she's got a beta offer.
but i'm sad that we lose a very good supervisor.
though she is my boss, she is also my close fren.
she has been so good to me.
two of us gone thru the toughest time in the company.
that few months, we stayed back for work almost everyday.
we even worked on the weekends.
we worked together and we supported each other.
no one will understand why i feel so sad.
but all these are just so memorable to me. :(
she is DEFINITELY a wonderful supervisor ever.

peter, our manager, emailed this to all of us
to answer cheryl's email subjected "support the maroons".

since his email sent only to the group email,
so i forwarded the email to all teamates.

later i received a reply from melissa, my superisor:

zoe,
i think that this is actually SPAM email,
so please delete these kind of notices in future...
thanks.

few minutes later, peter came to me and said,
that email he sent out was definitely not a SPAM,
and he also reminded me to wear blue tomorrow...

and melissa later attached this pictures
and sent to all of us, of coz including peter... :)
this was all happened at work...
so you should know how free we are :)

wondering if we will have the cupcakes like last time
this is what i really concern~~
might still wear maroon to save my life...
as i was told the competition will be held in QLD tomorrow.

Ginga Japanese Sushi Bar

last saturday, after maria's PIL performance,
we went to Ginga to have our dinner.

was a very full and yummy nite.
after that we headed to casino, (won a little bit, hehe)
while we were waiting for henry to finish his company dinner.
and later henry joined us to karaoke.

we haven't had such a fun day for more than half year.
so, ok lah, once for a while. :)

Chocolate Bread

just realised, too much chocolate stuff for my recent baking... :)
haha, my tummy growing bigger and bigger

i am quite satisfied with this bread.
looks like the one in the bakery :)

Japanese Cheesecake

kofanna and her mum said that it tasted really good.
i am ok. not a fan of cheesecake.

texture and taste is good,
as it's not too sweet and it is soft

was in a hurry when making this
as i started too late and was around dinner time.
(we normally have an early dinner @ around 18.00)

so, kofanna and her mum also help me to make it :)
otherwise, we will be hunger to death... haha

after dinner, kofanna's mum also taught me
how to make steam egg dessert 燉疍, post out later

Problem with the new skin

some problems with photocbucket.
the new skin can't be shown probably.
can't fix it and can't be bothered to find a new one.

Plan for long weekend :)

unlike hong kong, here public holiday is a treasure for us.
especially, long weekend!!!
queen's birthday? never know which day is the actual day????

people normally will travel interstate
or having some outdoor activities for their long weekend.

yes, that is what normal people do.
since i am abnormal (vikki always says so),
i won't have an excited holiday.
here is my plan for the next three days :

saturday
driving lesson as usual
work at uncle ronnie's shop (half day only,about 2 and a half)
go to see maria's parents-in-law performance
dinner with maria and ah B (cousin of maria's hubby)

sunday
laundry & grocery day
japanese lesson (i still haven't done my homework...)
MUST tidy up my wardrobe (too messy....)
my desk as well
= housework day

monday
bake day!!!! YAY!
plan to make japanese cheesecake
and bread (haven't decided what bread to bake yet)
so looking forward!! :)

An accident.

this morning was a bit upset.
witnessed an accident.
not actually saw, but heard the car hit someone.
turned around, saw a lady sitting on the road.
her belongings all over the road.
hit-and-run bastard.

stood on the other side of the road,
i saw so many people tried to help her.
what can i do for her?
i truly didn't know at that moment.
such a coincidence.
at that time, i was listening to the fray's "how to save a life"
how to save a life?
i prayed to God and asked Him to help.
i knew she will be fine.
wish her get well soon. amen.
