scary but lucky

Simon came over and had dinner with us. didn't know what to cook, we decided to eat out.

there is one korean bbq restaurant nearby and i want to try for a long time. so we went in and have a seat. lucky, kofanna was in the washroom. as something scary was going to happen...

the waitress gave me bottle of water and the glasses. when i was pouring the water....

a sudden & very loud "BOOOOOM" came from the table behind me.

what the????!!!! it was an explosion!!!

i believed the waiter forgot to turn the stove off before he changed the gas....

it was so scary, but lucky no one injured.... i seriously can't stay for dinner... therefore, we left.

we then went to ishii sushi bar. food was quite nice but expensive...

switch for Earth Hour

back home after dinner, the news reminded me there was a whole country event "switch for Earth Hour" from 20.00-21.00.

in this hour, we had to switch off all lights to save energy for the benefit of our environment. actually, it's just a movement to arouse people's awareness of climate change and to conserve energy. of course, we were happy to join this simple and meaningful event. :)

living in darkness for an hour, to be frank, very inconvenient... but as long as we switch off all lights that are not in use, it can help a lot :)

bought the table cloth and place mats the other day, when i put them on the table, they made a very funny face :)

attended the 10.30 service. i miss the church life. feel connected to God. feel so close to my Lord.

today is a gift from God. i won't know what it is unless i open it. He wants me to experience. He wants me to feel. He wants me to learn. Thank you, my Lord. i will treasure not only today, but every single day, as it's a gift from You.

after church, was invited to go barbie with cherry and family at UQ. as i was too tired, i didn't go. stayed at home had a rest also good.

yesterday was a bit upset, but now feel beta. as long as i give more confident to myself, i believe things will get beta.

no plan for tonite, might have an early nite.

now, try to bake another bread... if success, will post it out shortly :)

Time to change

good friday, all shops close. me, stay at home, feel so goooood.

though i did nothing much, but i finally change the blogskin... spending a week to find a simple skin and do some modifications. i also create another blog only for all homemade food. hehe~ click here to check it out. :)

bought a packet of profiteroles long time ago, and due to expire tomorrow plus the stand mixer has been in the box for four months... i thought it's time to let it out and do it's job.

soooo, i finally dig it out and started my cooking.

guess what?! i ended up using the hand held mixer to do the job... why?? as the ingredient is not enough to fill the mixing bowl, so it can't mix well.... derrrrr.... =_=||| thought can use the new machine... never mind, will try next time... there is always next time, right?? i guess....

international women's day fun run/walk 2008

healthiest activity ever... maria wanted to run for 5km, but i insisted to walk... as i know myself too well... never do exercise, if suddenly i need to run for 5km, i am sure will die tomorrow...

after the 5km walk, i was so exhausted and i just wanted to find a bed and sleep... but maria still had energy to shop around...

settle down

finally connected to internet.

here are the summary of what i have been doing for the past few weeks.

the last two fridays of February were my indian TGIF nights, photos to follow.

23rd Feb, moving house... was an excellent day... the hottest day of this summer ever, clear sky, brightest sun... was a good day to sweat... everyone smelt so good! :)

special thanks to the Wong's family, as they made this move success!

now, have been here for two weeks. everything is good except the uninvited pest in the house.

umm... depends on how you define "settle down". if i can sleep on my own bed in my own room, it could be a kind of settle down. if you say settle down is everything has been unpacked and arranged, then sorry i am far from settle down... as i still have hundreds and thousands of stuff still in the boxes... as my tidy up time only happen during the weekends.

so it might take a loooooong time for me to get thing in order... hehe... i admit i am lazy :)
